When I look around my room

I don't know what to do

I open the door and I walk inside

Das Liedchen ist nicht so unschuldig, wie es daher kommt.

Anfang der 80er wurden Video-Recorder für den gemeinen Bürger einigermaßen erschwinglich. Es gab drei konkurrierende Systeme: Video 2000, Beta Max und VHS. Letzteres hat das Rennen gemacht, weil sich die P***o Industrie darauf festgelegt hatte (Ähnliches spielte sich bei der Entscheidung über Blue Ray und HD DVD ab). Für heranwachsende Männer in verantwortungsvollem Alter (erst kürzlich wurde die Volljährigkeit von 21 auf 18 Jahre gesenkt) DIE Gelegenheit. Mit klopfendem Herzen stand man hinter dem verheißungsvollen Vorhang, der den Erwachsenen-Teil vom Rest der Videothek trennte, und bewertete die verschiedenen Titel. Schließlich wollte man sein Taschengeld nicht in eine Luftblase investieren.
